  • Do you have on-site parking?

    Our hotel is located in a residential neighborhood and does not offer on-site parking. Residential parking has a 2-hour limit during the weekdays from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. On weekends, residential street parking has no restrictions, beginning Friday at 6 p.m. until Monday at 8 a.m.


    For our guests staying during the week, we suggest a couple of parking garages nearby. Both garages offer a daily rate where you can park your vehicle overnight. The price range from $28-30. Please note: the nightly rate does not include in and out privileges.


    Performing Arts Garage - 360 Grove Street (between Gough and Franklin)

    This garage is located 6 blocks east of The Grove Inn.


    Fillmore Heritage Underground Garage - 1310 Fillmore Street (corner of Eddy and Fillmore)

    This garage is located 4 blocks north of The Grove Inn.

    This garage closes from 8 pm - 8 am.


  • Do you have a 24-hour front desk?

    We have front desk staff to assist you daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. After front desk hours, we do a simple self-check-in. On the morning of your arrival date, we will text and email you the appropriate information to ensure a smooth check-in process.Please provide us with your personal email and mobile number at the time of reservation, so we can be sure to send you detailed instructions for how to access the hotel after front desk hours.

  • Do you have an elevator for guest use?

    We do not have an elevator on-site. The Grove Inn is a 2 story Victorian building, with rooms on both the ground level and second floor. Please contact us before booking if you are unable to use the stairs or require an accessible room. We would be happy to help find the best solution for your individual needs.

  • Do you serve breakfast?

    We do not offer breakfast but there are a plethora of options nearby. Alamo Square Café is just a few doors down and Lady Falcon Coffee Truck is a block away in Alamo Square Park. We highly suggest grabbing a coffee at Lady Falcon while taking in the morning views of the Painted Ladies and then strolling around the park. Speak with our knowledgeable staff for a curated suggestion!

  • Do you require a deposit?

    We take a pre-authorization of $100.00 for incidentals on all reservations. This pre-authorization is released upon check-out. If you are not booking directly with The Grove Inn, please contact us to tell us which method of payment you wish to use.

  • Do you store luggage?

    Yes, we're pleased to provide this complimentary service. Please speak with our front desk agents and they will assist you to store your bag pre and post stay.

  • Are you pet friendly?

    As much as we love pets, unfortunately, we cannot allow them in our rooms or any of our common areas. Service animals are welcome.

  • Do you offer a laundry service?

    We do not provide any in-house laundry services, however, The Hayes Laundry is located 2 blocks from us. They offer dry cleaning and wash & fold services, in addition to self-washing options.

  • Do you offer daily housekeeping?

    Our cleaning staff provide daily room cleaning throughout your stay. To cater to our guest preferences during the pandemic, please leave the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your room door if you do not wish to have your room cleaned.

  • Do you offer bicycle storage?

    We have limited storage availability for bicycles, accessible only during front desk hours (9AM-5PM). If you need access to your bike outside of these hours, we recommend renting bikes per day. Bikes, hoverboards, skateboards and similar may not be stored in guest rooms, and will be removed by staff.
